Overview

Department of Orthoapedics and Joint replacement at KCHRC is regularly doing Primary and revision joint replacements of Hip and knee joints. Apart from these along with Oncosurgical team we are treating malignant musculoskeletal tumors by excising the tumor and replacing it with metal implants (may be full bone or part of bone and whole joint). The implants used for these surgeries are much bigger than one used for routine joint replacement surgeries- so known as Megaprosthesis.

After replacement the soft tissues are repaired and reconstructed so that limb can be maximally utilized.
